Defensive Women is committed to training women, new shooters, and those who are fearful of firearms.
(Yes, we train men too!)
We believe that firearms training shouldn't be intimidating. It should be respectful, comfortable, empowering, fun, informative, and focused first and foremost on safety. We won't throw industry lingo at you. We'll answer your most basic questions and help you build your confidence as you develop knowledge and skills. We'll help you find what works best for you.
Class and individual training is available, both co-ed and women-only classes.
About the Instructor:
Kyle Jennifer Pettersen-Scott is based in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. Kyle studies self-defense, including defensive firearms, as well as participates in recreational shooting. Kyle is an NRA certified firearms instructor, The Well Armed Woman Certified and US Concealed Carry Association certified. Kyle is also a women’s advocate.
Kyle received her undergraduate degree from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, where she graduated with honors in Psychology with a minor in Women’s Studies. She received her law degree from Hamline University School of Law, in St. Paul Minnesota, where she graduated with honors (Cum Laude).
